From Monday, 27 September, to Wednesday, 29 September, the International School welcomed partners from Ireland, Italy, Poland, Greece and Estonia who are part of the Erasmus project on implementing the innovative EngLife methodology.

You couldn’t have missed our news on the first EngLife Transnational project meeting, could you? Well, that was on Monday. On Tuesday and Wednesday, English Language teachers and ICT Coordinators from Ireland, Italy, Poland, Greece and Estonia created several workshops together.

After the initial meetings, the participants discussed the context of teaching English to high school students today. The teachers shared their experiences on the (post)pandemic reality at schools and how the global language learning environment changed because of that.

They also talked about the increasing internationalisation of secondary education and the influence of intercultural and generational issues on teaching and learning.

English Language teacher, Ms Ljubica Krstić, and Computer Science teacher and ICT Coordinator, Mr Milić Vukojičić, prepared a workshop on digital readiness and its impact on teaching and learning in the 21st century. They discussed the current approaches in language instruction while focusing on educational technology.

International School teachers once again showed their dedication to learning and professional development

Have you ever wondered why students love Ms Ljubica’s lessons so much? Among other things, it is because she teaches using state-of-the-art technology! Using VR headsets allows you to practice your vocabulary and English language skills while explaining different environments – with one click, you can be in Egypt, space, or even under the sea!

Mr Milić creatively presented different ways of using VR technology in classrooms, which amazed all of our project participants.
