The efforts International School puts into development and progress were recognised by Expo 2020 Dubai, the organiser of one of the most important events in the field of education and learning – Knowledge & Learning Week, which opens an international discussion about globally relevant issues.

Among leaders of positive social change

This year, Expo 2020 Dubai welcomed eminent innovators from over 190 countries, including an International School student who represented his school. Through ten theme weeks, they gathered to make a concerted effort to explore and improve various global key issues and goals relating to the good of humanity.

Being a part of the Link Educational Alliance and famous for its social activism and participation in numerous socially relevant events, International School was invited to present its work in the theme week dedicated to improving knowledge and learning as the best representative from Serbia in that field.

International School already implements an education system of the future

We got to see a part of the ambience of this futuristic place in the week dedicated to the best educational practice thanks to Stefan Vučić, an International School student. Viewing the pavilions from the region and the world, he found it particularly interesting that the innovative educational technologies showcased by exhibitors from around the world are already available to him at International School. He doesn’t miss classes because he can attend them whenever and wherever he wants using the Distance Learning platform.

 

 

It offers him live-streamed courses and classes and he can always find the ones he missed in the archive. International School’s e-register recorded Stefan’s presence 5,000 km away, in Belgrade, so he was able to enjoy this unusual exhibition without unauthorised absence from school. It’s an amazing opportunity, isn’t it?
