The students of the Lower Secondary programme had an interactive Soft Skills lesson last week. Together with their teacher Ms Marija Panić they welcomed Mr Aleksandar Petrović, a Psychology teacher, who talked about communication styles.
How to recognise communication styles and resolve conflicts
Through presentation and role-plays, Mr Aleksandar introduced the students to the assertive, aggressive, passive-aggressive and passive communication styles, and they learned more about how to recognise each style, but also how to resolve conflicts.
Soft Skills are generally defined as the ability to interact effectively with others. These skills are improved during students’ school life on their way to higher education, but students need to start developing them as early as possible. These skills are essential nowadays because they value almost as much as academic achievements.
