Helping others is not the first thing that crosses your mind when it comes to Valentine’s Day, right? Well, even though Valentine’s Day is mostly associated with romance, our students who are members of LINK kidZ & Youth Without Borders Community Club and the Student Council celebrated this holiday in a completely different way this year. This time they decided to celebrate friendship and spread the love by helping others.

Students celebrated this holiday in a different way – they focused on generosity

The school restaurant was full of treats prepared to be sold to the students and teachers who sent an SMS to 3030 as a way of helping a 7-year-old boy Vuk Vujanović, who is in urgent need to receive the right treatment for his Cerebral Palsy condition.

One sent SMS served as a coupon that students and teachers used instead of money to buy some of the products that the students from LINK kidZ & Youth Without Borders Community Club and Student Council prepared (or baked). The restaurant was full of stands of DIY jewellery, drawings and cards, muffins, chocolate, etc. With the coupon, the students could even take a photo in the photo booth, or win a prize if they threw darts close enough to the dartboard target.

Valentine’s Day this year was perfect for making memories. Our students celebrated Valentine’s Day in a different way – they focused on generosity and love for others, so everyone enjoyed it.

Members of LINK kidZ & Youth Without Borders Community Club and Student Council raised about RSD 25,000 for little Vuk and showed once again that they are always ready to help.
