International School recently hosted a series of exciting workshops during Robotics classes, in collaboration with the Children’s Innovation Center and Robotics teacher Ms. Maja Milosavljević. These workshops offered students from Year 7, 8, and 9 the opportunity to explore technologies in the field of robotics.

Exploring real-world robotics: From formula cars to bionic hands

During the sessions, students were introduced to a robot car, designed like a formula car, which moves and stops using sensors and code blocks. They also had the chance to engage with a Lego version of a bionic hand, using it to build a tower out of Lego bricks. Through these activities, students gained a deeper understanding of how the same principles applied in class can be used in real-world applications, such as autonomous vehicles and bionic hands, which can replace human limbs or be a valuable asset in surgery, manufacturing, and various industries.

These innovative workshops truly sparked the students’ interest in robotics, highlighting the practical implications of their learning.
