ErasmusSchool stories

On 26 September, the final conference of the Micr@s project took place in the grand hall of Savremena Gimnazija, organized by Link Group, a partner in this Erasmus+ project coordinated by the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce.

The event welcomed students and teachers from Savremena Gimnazija, with special guests including Prof. Dr. Gordana Mišev from the Faculty of Diplomacy and Security, Prof. Dr. Zoran Grubišić, Dean of the Belgrade Banking Academy, Tatjana Koluvija, Principal of Savremena Gimnazija, and Tatjana Vilček, Principal of International School.

Innovative tools for developing entrepreneurial skills presented to participants

Marija Milić, the project coordinator for Serbia and a Business and Economics teacher at International School, presented the results of this two-year project. Together with partners from Belgium, Romania, Italy, Portugal, Serbia, Greece, and Cyprus, our team developed an online platform and learning materials aimed at helping students launch their own businesses more easily.

Conference attendees were introduced to the project’s innovative solutions for fostering entrepreneurship:

  • educational resources known as ”Learning Snacks” translated into the languages of the partner countries, covering 14 key areas for starting a business;
  • an online platform for creating business ideas through group work and developing a Business Canvas plan. In this online environment, students can compare and improve their business concepts.

Winning ideas and announcement of the Belgrade Banking Academy competition

The conference also showcased the winning ideas from the external pilot testing held in June at International School. Participants had the opportunity to vote for their favorite business idea. The winning project, ”MacroCount”, was created by the team of Petra Jovanović, Pavle Jovanović, Luna Petrović, and Viktorija Žegarac who were awarded certificates by International School Principal Tatjana Vilček. The second-place project, ”Dolce Fredo”, developed by the team of Lena Elezović, Vanja Vukosavljević, Mila Makić, and Andrea Malović, also received certificates.

During the conference, attendees were informed about an upcoming competition at the Belgrade Banking Academy in December. We hope our students will showcase their ideas at this prestigious high school competition.

The conference was a great success, and we eagerly look forward to future meetings and business ideas.

Our message to students: ”Don’t wait for things to happen – take action!”
