The modern way of doing things at our school also implies digitalisation of school administration. Use of electronic diaries considerably advances communication not only between teachers and students, but also between teachers and parents. The relationships we build at International School are based on mutual trust, and transparency of use of e-diary helps solidify this trust even further.
24/7 availability
E-diary is available to students, parents and teachers all day, every day. A click on the link on the homepage opens the portal which you access with your username and password, assigned to you by the school.
Saving time
E-diary replaces teachers in all activities that have to do with school administration. While in a traditional diary the teacher records lessons and absences manually, e-diary provides predefined items which the teacher verifies by a single click. Compared to the traditional approach to administration, the electronic approach is considerably faster, so the teachers can devote more time to work with students and planning creative teaching activities.
Grading and activity documentation system
All activities of the students, from academic achievements to engagement in volunteering campaigns, are recorded in the e-diary. This adds up to the student’s profile, which helps the teachers, the psychologist and the counselor to choose the right way to help the student achieve even better results. Statistical data generated in the e-diary automatically notifies the faculty if a student’s marks do not match the student’s profile – if they are higher or lower – so the class teacher can notify the parents accordingly.
Coordination in planning of curricular activities
Since the Law on Education limits the number of tests within one day, using the e-diary, every teacher can gain insight into other teacher’s timetables of knowledge assessments, and thereby avoid overlapping with other subjects and overloading the students.
Transparency in communication
Since e-diary is a means of communication not only between teachers and students, but also between teachers and parents, entering of transparent information considerably improves cooperation. This refers not only to students’ grades, but also to information about students’ activities and engagement level, commendations and admonitions, lesson plans and implementation, test dates determined in advance, as well as students’ certified and uncertified absences.
Information security
The well-functioning of the e-diary is in the hands of a team of professionals, who are in charge not only of proper performance of the software, but also of the security of the information stored therein.
