School stories

International School’s Student Council recently organized the Christmas Charity Sale, an event dedicated to spreading kindness and support to those in need. During school breaks, students had the chance to contribute to this noble cause by purchasing a bag of candy. The cost of each bag was a single text message sent to a humanitarian foundation that supports children battling illnesses. Each message, sent at the cost of 200 RSD, directly contributed to this meaningful cause.

A festive table was set up in the school canteen, decorated to capture the holiday spirit. The cashiers, who were also members of the Student Council, diligently managed the process, ensuring that every student who sent a text message received their bag of candy.

This initiative is a powerful reminder of the importance of altruism. Helping others is not only beneficial to those who receive support but also deeply fulfilling for those who give. Acts of kindness, no matter how small, have the potential to make a lasting impact on someone’s life. By coming together as a community, students demonstrated empathy, compassion, and the power of collective action.

The Christmas Charity Sale stands as a testament to the values we strive to instill in our students – generosity, empathy, and social responsibility. Through simple yet meaningful actions, we can all play a part in creating a more caring and supportive world.
