Behind its simple façade and discreet contours, the modern four-storey building at Vračar hosts a space adjusted to modern learning. The classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art teaching tools and interactive whiteboards, as well we ergonomic furniture whose flexibility adapts to the teaching dynamics. A spacious Learning Centre is located on the top floor. It provides students with a stimulating environment for individual and research activities, along with access to the electronic library comprising more than 30,000 books. The ground floor offers a place for rest and leisure, where students and teachers can spend their time outside lessons. Ceremonies, school events, guest lectures and staff meetings are held at the amphitheatre on the first floor.

As one would expect from a Future Ready School, the exterior of International School’s building at Šumatovačka Street conforms to the trends of modern architecture and represents an ideal combination of a modern façade with granite ceramics, and large glass surfaces.

The entrance hall, paved with granite ceramic tiles, leads you to the main school entrance and the amphitheatre. The reception area with its modern design is a place where you will receive all necessary information from our courteous staff.

Our classrooms at Vračar, as well as the ones in Belgrade Palace, are equipped with modern school furniture: desks of various shapes and sizes, and chairs made by renowned manufacturers, all conforming to the principles of ergonomics. The functional furniture serves the purposes of modern teaching that implements innovative technologies in education.

Since we are aware of how important natural lighting is for work and studying, particularly to students who spend the best part of the day at school, we have installed LED lights in every room at International School. The health benefits that this type of lighting offers are also attested by the fact that out of all the possible light sources, LED lights are the closest to natural sunlight in their wavelength which is why they are so good for the eye.

In addition to this, LED bulbs do not emit radiation, flicker or contain substances that are harmful to people and the environment, such as lead, mercury and so on. That is what makes LED lighting a healthy light source used at International School because we strive to provide our students with nothing short of the best working and learning conditions.

The learning and studying oasis at Šumatovačka Street is located on the top floor, in a quiet and peaceful nook overseeing the yard. The comfortable interior is equipped with ergonomic furniture enabling individual and group work, and providing a high level of comfort during studying.

The relaxation and leisure area for Cambridge programme students is located on the first floor. Any area dedicated to relaxation and pastime must be comfortable and pleasant to be in, which we have achieved by introducing a high performance ventilations system which ensures constant air flow. A special part of the relaxation and fun area contains comfortable video-game chairs, foosball tables and a computer centre with laptops.

The motivation behind the design of our school restaurant was to create a relaxing area where people can enjoy themselves. Separate booths provide comfort and convenience in a place where students enjoy their meals together.
