Last week, Savremena’s students took part in a unique PE class. This truly different lesson took place in the Bežanijska kosa forest, where students were able to showcase their skills on the exercise and obstacle course.
Military-style aptitude exercises
Some of the students tested their speed and agility using various pieces of equipment at the range. The adroit students passed through tyres, crawled under hurdles, jumped over fences balanced on a beam.
At the end of the lesson, the students used the area as a shooting range, aiming at improvised targets from replica guns with plastic bullets.
First aid training and a battle in the forest
Another group of students did some basic exercises, and then learned about providing first aid. Savremena’s students learned how an injured person should be transported on a stretcher, and had the opportunity to apply this knowledge in a simulated transportation of an injured person.
The third group took part in a battle in the forest. Dressed in camo and armed with replica guns, the students fought for a flag, and the forest rang with the children’s excited shouts and laughter.
Favourite outdoor classes
Savremena’s students took great pleasure in the outdoor PE lesson.
The exciting class was not only quite fun, but also provided the students with an opportunity to learn new, unusual skills and develop their team spirit, as well as their resourcefulness and agility.
