As part of the Parents Teach programme, where students learn about different career paths from parents, this time, our guest speaker was not a parent but a sibling! Sofija Dutina, the sister of our student Miljana Dutina, visited Year 7 students to share insights about her school experience in the Netherlands.
Sofija is currently studying at Eerde International Boarding School, and instead of discussing a profession, she gave an engaging presentation about life at a boarding school. Students were particularly interested in hearing about the campus environment, daily life in the dormitory, the subjects she studies, and the application process. The session was highly interactive, with students eagerly asking questions and engaging in discussion.
These visits play a crucial role in broadening students’ horizons, offering them first-hand experiences from different educational and career paths. By hearing directly from someone close to their age, students gain valuable insights that could help them make informed decisions about their own future.
We look forward to the next inspiring visit in the Parents Teach series!
