Pursuant to Articles 4 and 7 of the Regulations Regarding the Manner and Procedure of Applying and Exercising the Student Right to a Tuition Fee Reduction of International School Ref. No. 218/2020 from 25 August 2020 (Hereinafter: the Regulations), International School is announcing a
COMPETITION FOR EXERCISING THE RIGHT TO A TUITION FEE REDUCTION AT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL FOR 2024/2025
I CONDITIONS FOR REDUCED TUITION FEES
The following student applications are eligible for consideration:
- Students who are enrolling in Year 10 of International School for the first time, provided that the legal representative of the student/candidate has signed a contract with the school and paid the enrollment fees defined in the contract, based on student performance and achieved results, i.e. special achievements (commendations, certificates, medals, diplomas, newspaper articles, etc.) according to the criteria set out in the notice of competition.
- Student of International School who are enrolling in Year 12, according to the criteria set out in the notice of competition, and provided that their Conduct grade at the end of the first and second semesters of 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 is 1 (the highest grade).
II REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
The candidate, i.e. legal representative of the candidate who is enrolling in Year 10 of International School for the first time shall submit the following documents for the competition:
- Completed electronic application Application for Incentives for the Best Students of International School published on the school website https://www.international-school.edu.rs/incentives-for-the-best/
- Scanned motivation letter in electronic form with a maximum of 500 words in which the student plausibly explains why he/she deserves a tuition fee reduction to the following address: info@iss.edu.rs;
- Scanned final report cards for the 5th, 6th and 7th grade, as well as a scanned certificate of completion for primary school with final grades in the 8th grade no later than 2 (two) days from the deadline for submission of applications for the competition to the following address: info@iss.edu.rs;
- Scanned record of special achievements (commendations, certificates, diplomas, medals, newspaper articles, etc.) accomplished in the 7th and the 8th grade for candidates who are applying for the following tuition reduction programs: SPORTACUS and SM-ART, to the following address: info@iss.edu.rs.
The candidate, i.e. legal representative of the candidate who is enrolling in Year 12 shall:
- Complete the electronic application Application for Incentives for the Best Students of International School at the school website: https://www.international-school.edu.rs/incentives-for-the-best/;
- Submit a scanned record of special achievements (commendations, certificates, diplomas, medals, newspaper articles, etc.) not older than 12 (twelve) months, provided that the candidate is applying for the following tuition reduction programs: SPORTACUS and SM-ART, to the following address: info@iss.edu.rs.
The legal representative of the student/candidate is obligated to submit all the documentation stated above and the motivation letter in an email and send it to: info@iss.edu.rs, writing the name of the student/candidate in the Subject line of the email.
In the event that the documentation and the motivation letter has not been sent to the email address stated above, theApplication for Incentives for the Best Students of International School shall be considered incomplete.
III DOCUMENT SUBMISSION DEADLINE
Application deadline for the Competition expires on 30 June 2024. Untimely and incomplete competition documentation, as well as documentation submitted by unauthorized persons shall not be considered.
IV CRITERIA FOR DECIDING ON STUDENT ELIGIBILITY FOR A TUITION FEE REDUCTION
- The criteria for students who are enrolling in Year 10 of International School for the first time are the following:
- The tuition reduction program GENIUS is designed for gifted students who achieved good results in various city/municipal, national or international competitions and who excel at different subjects and various fields, and the criteria are the following:

- Outstanding performance (GPA above 4.5) from the 5th to the 8th grade of primary school;
- The first, second or third place in a city/municipal, national or international student competition in any school subject the student attended in the 7th or 8th grade of primary school.
- The tuition reduction program SPORTACUS is designed for athletes who have achieved good results in any individual or team sport, provided that their performance in the 8th grade was assessed as solid (GPA above 3.5), and the criteria are the following:

- The first, second or third place in an international sport club competition, whether in an individual or team sport, and/or participation in an international sports competition as a member of the national team, whether in an individual or a team sport, during the 7th or the 8th grade of primary school.
- The tuition reduction program SM-ART is designed for gifted young artists who have shown interest and talent in music, painting, acting or any other art, and the criteria are the following:

- Outstanding performance (GPA above 4.5) from the 5th to the 8th grade of primary school; and
- Participation and notable results in a domestic or international art contest during the 7th or 8th grade of primary school, and/or participation in a domestic or international cultural event during the 7th or 8th grade of primary school.
- The tuition reduction program A-CE is designed for students who have been awarded a Vuk Karadžić Diploma at the end of the 8th grade of primary school.
Candidates are ranked according to the criteria of this competition.
Applicants shall be ranked according to the documents submitted.
2. The criteria for students of International School who are applying for a tuition fee reduction are participation and notable results in competitions, participation in the internal projects of International School, and personal commitment and allegiance to International School, whereby the specific criteria are the following:
- For the tuition reduction program GENIUS:

- Grade point average A (80% or more) in the exams of the subjects they elected in 2021/2022 , i.e. passed in 2023/2024, and
- Notable academic results in national, regional or international competitions.
- For the tuition reduction program SPORTACUS:

- Grade point average A (80% or more) in the exams of the subjects they elected in 2021/2022 , i.e. passed in 2023/2024, and
- The first, second or third place in an international sport club competition, whether in an individual or team sport in 2023/2024, and/or participation in an international sports competition as a member of the national team, whether in an individual or a team sport in 2023/2024.
- For the tuition reduction program SM-ART:

- Grade point average A (80% or more) in the exams of the subjects they elected in 2021/2022 , i.e. passed in 2023/2024,
- Notable results in a domestic or international art contest in 2023/2024,
- participation in a domestic or international cultural event in 2023/2024.
- For the tuition reduction program A-CE:

- Grade point average A (80% or more) in the exams of the subjects they elected in 2021/2022 , i.e. passed in 2023/2024.
V PROCEDURE
The candidate submits an application with the necessary competition documentation in order to exercise their right to a tuition fee reduction. The decision on the tuition fee reduction shall be made by the School Board within the deadline prescribed in the Regulations and published on the website of International School. The decision of the School Board on granting a tuition fee reduction is final.
International School, i.e. the School Board is not obligated to give reasons for their decision.
The candidate and their legal representative don’t have the right to object or appeal the decision on a tuition fee reduction.
By submitting the application for a tuition fee reduction, student/candidate and their legal representative accept the provisions of the Regulations and the conditions of this competition made available to the public on the website of International School.
VI TUITION REDUCTION
The right to a tuition reduction is valid for the school year in which it was exercised and in the following school year, in accordance with the Regulations.
