Computer Science teacher, Milić Vukojičić, together with Year 11 students, Elena Vezenkoska and Damjan Vezenkoski, got back from a seven days trip to Galway, Ireland, where they worked on Erasmus+ “EngLife” project.
To Mr Milić Vukojičić, the project trip was a fantastic experience: “We were impressed with the Atlantic Language School’s innovative and effective teaching methods, which incorporate practical, real-life situations into their language learning program. It was truly inspiring to see the positive impact that the school has had on its students’ language learning abilities. In addition to working with Atlantic Language School, we also had the opportunity to explore the charming and vibrant city of Galway, where we met with local businesses and organisations to discuss potential partnerships and collaborations. It was amazing to see the enthusiasm and interest from these groups in working with EngLife to provide language education opportunities to their employees and clients.”
While Elena and Damjan attended classes at Atlantic Language School with the rest of their peers from other partner schools from Italy, Poland, Greece and Estonia, their teachers elaborated on teaching methodology.
“The week that I spent in Galway, interacting with students my age from many different countries, is a week that I will never forget. Even though we had classes every day, the teachers and Atlantic Language School that hosted us made it as fun as possible for all of us there. After the classes, we had a lot of free time to explore the city and local attractions, as well as hang out and get to know each other better. I hope that everyone had as much fun as I did during those seven days, and I am very glad that I was able to attend. I hope that in the future there will be more projects like this, with even more students, and I hope that I will again be given the opportunity to participate”, Elena Vezenkoska said.
Damjan is thankful for new friends and opportunities: “Besides exploring the city of Galway, we also visited The Cliffs of Moher and explored the wonderful and unique nature of Ireland. This was definitely one of a kind experience where, besides improving my English language skills, I got to meet a lot of incredible people who I can now call friends, and I also want to thank my school for giving me this amazing opportunity.”
This trip enabled International School participants to advance and gain comprehensive knowledge. It truly was a powerful and memorable experience.
