International School hasn’t had a single tedious Business lesson so far. And not only are classes at International School interesting and inspirational, but also extremely useful since the teachers aim to provide the students with comprehensive education in various fields and teach them about all the aspects of life – intellectual, psychological, social, emotional, cultural, etc.
In order for our students to become completely financially literate while they’re still in secondary school, International School provides them with an opportunity to take part in a European competition called the European Money Quiz. Year 10 Business students will get a chance to test their knowledge in April and to win the competition as well. It will take place live, on the online Kahoot! platform.
International School students in the European Money Quiz
Following the Stock Market Game, International School students started preparing for the upcoming European Money Quiz. Financial education will be put front and centre across Europe once national banking associations from over 30 countries start to take part in the European Money Week with a view to reaching a large number of young people and in turn improving financial literacy and increasing awareness about its significance.
This will be the 8th time that the European banking sector has organised the event at the suggestion of the European Banking Federation in Brussels. The European Money Week strives to raise the public’s awareness about the benefits of financial education.
Why is this an important topic?
It is crucial that we start acquainting children with the world of finance in secondary school because, when we do so, they adopt a healthy attitude to money on time. When they finish secondary school and subsequently enrol in higher education, it’s already time for them to know the basics of finance as that’s when they usually start earning money themselves.
International School aims to develop its students’ financial awareness in Business classes and so they will get a chance to demonstrate the knowledge they accumulated in the lessons in this year’s competition. These are one of their favourite classes and they are known as extremely competitive in addition to having thorough knowledge, which is why we are sure they will achieve great success in this event.
We wish them good luck and hope they’ll place highly!
