Students, led by mentor Marija Milić, achieved remarkable results representing International School at the “Start-up and Student Entrepreneurship” competition.
In December this year, a high school competition titled “Start-up and Student Entrepreneurship – Conceptualise an Idea and Put it into Action!” took place, with a total of 15 student teams participating. Among these teams, two stood out from our school under the guidance of their mentor, business and economics teacher Marija Milić.
The jury members, composed of professors from BBA faculty, bankers, scientists and representatives from the Ministry of Finance, evaluated the teams’ business plans. Two teams from our school really stood out with their innovative approaches. The first team, consisting of Lola Gaković, Kalina Petrova and Jakov Vuković, Year 12 students, presented a business plan titled “Green Bite”, focused on promoting healthy eating.
The second team, led by Mateja Baketarić, Year 9, Isidora Šušović and Ivana Popovska, Year 13 students, introduced the business plan “TripMate”, a travel application. Despite fierce competition and the high quality of presented plans, our teams secured a significant consolation prize. The prize includes a 100 euro discount on BBA tuition, certificates, thank-you notes and appropriate gifts.
Mateja Baketarić particularly stood out and received the special recognition “Young Entrepreneurial Talent”. His leadership and skills shone in this competition, demonstrating that with his knowledge he can compete with much older and more experienced participants.
We thank all the students for their contribution and effort and wish them much success and new experiences in the future. We continue to support their ambitions and hope that their enthusiasm remains unchanged in the years to come.
