On 24 October the final conference of the Erasmus+ project “Micr@s” took place at the headquarters of the Camera Di Commercio Belgo-Italiana in Brussels. Marija Milić, our Economics and Business teacher from International School, attended the event alongside project partners from Belgium, Italy, Serbia, Greece, Romania, Portugal and Cyprus.
During the conference, the partners reviewed the project’s achievements and outcomes over the past 24 months, culminating in the grand finale of the Micr@s European Competition of Business Ideas. More than 270 students, ages 12–18, from Belgium, Italy, Serbia, Greece, Romania, Portugal, and Cyprus participated in this year’s competition, presenting sustainability-focused business plans developed through Micr@s learning materials, including “learning snacks” and the Micr@s game platform.
We are thrilled to announce that our students, who were Year 10 at the time and are now Year 11, emerged as winners! Their innovative business idea, “Macrocount,” stood out for its originality and sustainability focus. Congratulations to the winning team: Pavle Jovanović, Petra Jovanović, Viktorija Žegarac, and Luna Petrović!
Upon returning from Belgium, Ms. Milić brought medals from the conference, which she awarded to the team members after the school break. This special ceremony was a proud moment for the students and a celebration of their hard work, creativity, and dedication!
