Last week, the students of Savremena International School played squash during their PE lesson. This sport is ideal for all ages.
Why is squash the healthiest sport of all?
According to the well-known magazine, Forbes, squash was declared the healthiest sport in the world ahead of swimming, rowing and basketball. Squash engages an important number of muscle groups and has a positive effect on the development of young bodies in general. The risk of sustaining an injury is minimal compared to any other sport.
Squash is particularly suitable for primary and secondary students. In addition to helping your body develop, squash helps you prevent the appearance of deformities, especially spine problems. This is the reason why the experts in the field recommend playing squash from the age of eight.
After playing squash for 45 minutes it is possible to burn 1.000 calories. Squash is the widest spread recreational sport in the world. The rules of squash are simple, which makes it extremely popular among all generations. Our students enjoyed a lot playing it and they expressed their wish to continue practising this fast and dynamic sport.
Truly different PE lessons
Our aim is to make the students of Savremena realise the importance of being in good shape. An opportunity to get acquainted with and to try out different sports may motivate them to actually start training one of them, professionally or just for fun. After having so much fun in their PE lessons, the students are ready to enter their classrooms and take on any mental challenge.
