The International School decided to remove language barriers using French cuisine! We’re celebrating March, a month dedicated to the Francophonie.
On 10 March, as a part of their eTwinning project “Food as Cultural Identity”, Ms Marija Panić surprised her French students by inviting two special guests who joined an online French lesson – Amélie Etevenon (Grenoble, France) and Rose Muthoni Thumbi (Kenya, studying in Serbia). Our Year 10 and Year 11 students enjoyed their presentations and the subsequent discussions on French gastronomy and traditional Kenyan dishes.
Creating unforgettable memories
International School’s Year 11 students Nina Živaljević, Teodora Obradović and Gala Milutinović also presented their research on French gastronomy as cultural heritage, and we can only say: “Félicitations!”
We all enjoyed the presentation, and we can’t wait to try out some of the famous French cheeses and traditional dishes (bouillabaisse, ratatouille, clafoutis). Maybe during our next project?
