School stories

As part of the Parents Teach project, International School had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Nenad Sofronić, a professional at the World Bank and the father of our student Jana Sofronić, for a guest lecture on the institution’s role in global economic development.

During his presentation, Jana’s father explained the importance of financial reports in assessing investments funded by the World Bank, aiming to stimulate economic growth and support the development of economies worldwide. He also provided a practical perspective on investments and financial analysis, sharing valuable insights from his professional experience.

Students had the opportunity to ask questions about the work of the World Bank and explore potential career paths in the field of finance and global development.

Such lectures are invaluable, as they give students a chance to connect classroom knowledge with real-world applications, gain a deeper understanding of international financial systems, and get inspired for their future careers. We are grateful to Mr. Sofronić for sharing his expertise and look forward to more enriching sessions in the Parents Teach series!
