School stories

At International School, we deeply value the connection between classroom learning and real-life experience. That’s why our Parents Teach initiative continues to thrive, bringing students face-to-face with professionals from various fields who share insights into their careers and personal journeys.

This time, our guest speaker was the father of Ekaterina Zakharova, a Year 8 student. Although a programmer by profession, he currently works as a manager – a role he finds particularly rewarding due to its dynamic nature and the constant need for creative problem-solving. His experience offered students a unique perspective on how careers can evolve over time and how skills like logical thinking and adaptability can be applied in various professional settings.

Students were engaged and curious, asking questions and reflecting on how the subjects they study now might one day shape their own career paths. We are grateful for another inspiring Parents Teach session that not only broadens our students’ horizons but also strengthens the bridge between school and the world beyond it.
