A recent guest lecture at our school by Police Station Vračar inspectors aimed to raise awareness among students about relevant issues of their time. The inspectors delved into the concept of violence, explaining its various forms and how to recognize them. They highlighted that children sometimes aren’t even aware they are either perpetrators or victims of violence.

Moreover, the officers explained the notion of discrimination and emphasized the importance of combating it. They provided numerous examples, starting from digital violence, emphasizing children’s exposure to social media and its potential dangers. They discussed preventative measures and underscored how online posts leave a permanent trace, despite the attempts to delete them.

The students were attentive and eager to learn from the guests’ insights. The lecture’s objective was to enhance awareness about juvenile crime and misdemeanors, as well as their rights and responsibilities towards their peers and themselves, whether at school, on the streets, or online.
