On Sunday, the 19th of March, Savremena International School student Aleksandar Zaplatić achieved a huge success at the regional geography competition. Faced with fierce competition which included 180 participants from all over the country, Aleksandar attained 64 points and qualified for the national competition, which will take place in May.
Success through hard work and perseverance
While Aleksandar is a Year 10 student, the competition tapped into materials covered in Years 11 and 12 as well, making his achievement all the more significant as it becomes clear how much time and effort he invested in order to reach the highest level of the competition.
With expert guidance and motivation courtesy of geography teacher Ivan Matejić, Aleksandar was able to prepare, and demonstrate his exquisite knowledge of geography, proving that his hard work and perseverance truly qualify him for the national level reserved only for the best of the best.
Congratulations and a reward are in order
Savremena International School, as a school that supports its students in various ways, would like to take this opportunity to commend Aleksandar for his success and for going the extra mile.
As a reward for Aleksandar’s overarching ambition and his successful participation in a number of competitions, the forthcoming excursion to Rome will be a present from the school management.
