On Saturday, 21 April, Savremena’s students joined running aficionados for the Fun Run at the 31st edition of the Belgrade Marathon.
The students, who displayed their willpower and fitness, successfully completed the 5K run with the help from PE teachers Stefan Radojičić and Miloš Grubješić.
Another participation at Belgrade Marathon
This year saw the 31st edition of the Belgrade Marathon, which surpassed the previous ones in terms of the number of participants taking part in three disciplines – the Fun Run, the half marathon and the marathon.
Although a non-competitive race, the Fun Run gathered many fans of athletics from the region. Among them were Savremena’s students.
The high temperature in the Serbian capital couldn’t prevent Savremena’s students from successfully completing the route comprising the Nikola Pašić Square, Bulevar kralja Aleksandra Street, Slavija, and the finishing line at Terazije. The students enjoyed the positive, sporting atmosphere, the chance to spend quality time together, and the opportunity to represent International School Savemena at the Belgrade Marathon for the third time.
Once more we congratulate Savremena’s students on their fitness level and the willingness to take part in the rich extracurricular activities organised by the school.
