School stories

International School’s Year 8 and Year 9 students recently visited the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Visitor Center as part of their Socials Business course, accompanied by their teacher Marija Milić. The visit offered students a unique opportunity to delve into the fascinating world of banking and learn about the crucial role this institution plays in society.

Exploring the History of Banking

Students especially enjoyed the exhibits on the history of the NBS, its establishment, the first governors, and early banknotes. Through interactive displays, they gained a deeper understanding of the evolution and significance of the banking system.

Educational visits like this one are vital for students, as they emphasize the importance of lifelong learning and help them develop essential skills and knowledge. By stepping outside the classroom, students are exposed to real-world experiences that broaden their perspectives.

The students were joined by Mathematics teacher Daliborka Odobaša and Robotics teacher Maja Milosavljević, who further enriched the experience with their support and insight.

This visit to the NBS Visitor Center is yet another example of International School’s teachers’ commitment to providing students with meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom.
